Plastic Surgery Gone Wrong: Celebrities Before & After
Fronting the Jackson 5, Michael Jackson was always as cute as button. However, after going under the knife for as many as ten plastic surgeries on his nose alone, his good looks were tragically whittled away.
As you know, the King of Pop is but one in a long list of celebrities who have rolled into operating rooms looking for plastic surgery miracles only to become part of an ongoing plastic surgery nightmare. Here are four similarly famous and cringe-worthy Hollywood faces, faces only a malpractice lawyer could love.
Donatella Versace
Nothing says style, elegance and high fashion like the name Versace. However, once Donatella got active in the family business, after her brother Gianni’s death, the talented designer went through a long series of plastic surgeries and injections, leaving her somewhat less appealing than the fashions she creates. When anorexic-like images of her in a bikini surfaced several years back, medical schools were soliciting her left and right in attempts to utilize her chest as a teaching aide on how not to perform breast augmentations.
Kenny Rogers
Celebrities revel in the number of fan websites that pop up in their names. However, when you have a site solely devoted to your bad plastic surgery, even if they spell your name right, it's probably not good publicity. The country crooner was always a good looking guy and, although he was no Sean Connery, he seemed to be aging rather gracefully. The damage was done back in 1997, following his marriage to a much younger woman, a marriage the star himself says he regrets. The good news, though, is that Kenny’s no longer trying to tweak his appearance, and some of its "naturalness" has even returned.
Nicki Minaj
Sometimes, even plastic surgery that goes right can come back to haunt stars. With Nicki Minaj, it's accusations of too much plastic surgery that she's had to deal with over the years. Her slimmed-down nose, amped-up breasts and badonkadonk the size of Texas are Nicki’s primary attention getters. It doesn’t stop there, though, she’s even been accused of having dental work done, the result of which is a fake, albeit beautiful, smile. Often, when plastic surgery delivers its promised beauty, jealously rears its ugly head.
Priscilla Presley
If Priscilla looked this way on her wedding day with Elvis, the King of Rock would have been "Crying in the Chapel." The actress who won Elvis' heart in real life, and Bobby Ewing's on the primetime soap Dallas, was truly stunning in her day. Apparently, she was somewhat addicted to Botox and facelifts and also had the misfortune of hooking up with an unlicensed surgeon, one who used low-grade silicone and whose practice was later transferred to the State of California's Mira Loma Detention Center.
So, while there are certainly some success stories—Joan Rivers comes to mind—when considering plastic surgery, approach the decision with caution and know your personality. The process can sometimes become addictive and, like trying to correct bangs you've trimmed crooked at home, things can get quickly out of hand and virtually irreparable.
Not to mention the damage it can do to your bank account...
