In Soviet Russia, Comedians laugh at YOU!

If anyone remembers Yakov Smirnof you'll probably recognize these jokes. The current "Russian Reversal" type of jokes were not made by Yakov Smirnof. More people have heard those than have heard of Yakov.
Yakov Naumovich Pokhis (RussianЯков Наумович Похис; born 24 January 1951), better known as Yakov Smirnoff, is aUkrainian-born American comedianpainter and teacher. He was popular in the 1980s for comedy performances in which he used irony and word play to contrast life under the Communist regime in his native Soviet Union
"In soviet russia, Trains run you" - One of the more commonly heard jokes. I confess I've gotten into the Russian Reversal jokes a few times with friends and came up with some weird stuff. Yakov wasn't really known for telling those particular jokes. But he did make fun of Russia, and U.S.A as well as you can see in this video.

Yakov has inspired comedians like Sasha Barenkoven, "Borat".
What is Yakov doing now that there is no more Soviet Russia.
Ben Stiller thinks he knows...

Wow that's sad.
