The Worst Movie Star Wax Impressions Ever to Enter Madame Tussauds

For those who are not aware of the many tourist attractions in London, one of the most fun – and sometimes creepy – places to visit is Madame Tussauds. (There are also U.S. locations in Las Vegas, New York, Washington D.C., and Hollywood).
This museum features very lifelike wax creations of some of the world’s most famous movie stars. Yet, while it may be an honor to have your likeness highlighted at this museum, if not done up correctly, it could be a real turn-off for fans and other visitors!

Hugh Grant

According to numerous visitors, one of the all time worst likenesses in wax at Madame Tussauds is that of the actor Hugh Grant. For years, this sexy British actor has been charming the ladies.
However, although everyone knows it isn’t real, his wax twin appears to be a bit more zombie-like for most of his groupies’ comfort level. Possibly he could score his next big role in a horror film!

Julia Robert

After her famous role in Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts hit it big – and has been known for many years as a glamour girl. Sporting her pearly whites and a big smile, Roberts has won the hearts of many. Yet, according to some observers of her wax look-alike in Madame Tussauds Washington D.C. location, her eyes have the vacant look of a nuclear test site dummy. You be the judge.

Johnny Depp

After playing pirates and a number of other “bad guy” type figures, Johnny Depp didn’t make out too well with his Madame Tussauds wax likeness either. The stare that this figure gives back to its onlookers is more than creepy.
That, coupled with the pursed lips, make Johnny look like he may just pull a knife from his wax pocket at any given moment. Definitely worth a second look, though, if you are into bad dreams.

Matt Damon

Many women tend to swoon when they see Matt Damon on the big screen. And as his characters have grown, so has his popularity as a leading man. In fact, some have even referred to Matt Damon as the greatest male actor of the past decade. Unfortunately, his wax sculpture may not have quite as many adoring fans.

Jane Lynch

Although it isn’t one of the worst – and in fact, it may even be considered one of the best – Jane Lynch’s comment upon viewing her likeness as “Glee’s” Sue Sylvester is priceless. According to sources, Lynch proclaimed, “Holy crap – unbelievable!” to the crowd that included not just some of her fans, but also a real live glee club.
The Jane Lynch wax likeness features her Glee character in her traditional gym suit and holding a megaphone. A bit later in the unveiling ceremony Lynch went on to announce, “I feel like I’m seeing myself in a coffin or something. Thank you so much!” Certainly the coffin comment can be taken either way – and it really IS hard to tell the difference!
